Model TC-24-10 Temperature
Controller
APPLICATION
The TC-24-10 is a proportional-integral (PI) temperature controller
developed for equipment manufacturers requiring a low cost device.
The TC-24-10 will operate a thermoelectric module in either a
cooling mode or a heating mode.
TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
Power to the thermoelectric module is delivered via a 400 Hz
Pulse-Width-Modulated (PWM) output. This methodology will not reduce
the thermoelectric module's reliability due to thermal cycling (as
can some other on-off controllers). The PWM design also allows the
controller to power thermoelectric systems of up to 24 volts and 7
amps without an external heatsink. Adjustments for setpoint,
proportional gain, and integral gain are made via trimpots located
on the printed circuit board. These trimpots can be replaced with
fixed value resistors for large volume applications thus negating
the need to adjust each controller individually.
The TC-24-10 comes with one MP-2379 thermistor. If you would like
to purchase additional thermistors, please indicate when ordering.
