We are please to introduce ourselves as marketing associates of RAJCO METAL INDUSTRIES PVT. I. COPPER PIPES: are manufactured as per specification BS 2871 part 1, which is a specification for Copper tubes, for water, gas & sanitation. BS 2871 specifies 3 wall thickness, Table X, Y & Z for 15mm to 35mm. We are also enclosing our Pressure Chart, showing the 3 tables longwith the maximum pressure & burse pressure of these tubes. 15mm is equivalent to 1/2" GI, 22mm to 3/4" GI, 28mm to 1" GI & 35mm to 1 1/4" GI. We recommend the use of Table X as it is more studier to handle than Table Z. Tubes are normally supplied in 10 lengths. RAJCO is manufacturing Copper tubes since over 30 years & are supplying to premier organizations in our country including Voltas, Godrej-GE, Whirlpool, Nuclear Power/Atomic Energy, Engineers India Ltd., Larsen & Toubro Ltd., Gas Authority India Ltd., etc. 30% of RAJCO's production is exported & RAJCO would be achieving ISO 9002 shortly.
II. FITTINGS: are manufactured by IMI YORKSHIRE FITTINGS LTD., U.K. under a British Quality system BS 5750 which is the equivalent to ISO 9002. IMI is manufacturing plumbing fittings since over 80 years in over 70 installations around the globe having a turnover of over US$ 1700 million. There are 2 types of fittings manufactured by IMI as per BS. 864, Part 2 in Dezincification Resistant materials i.e. Copper Dezincification Resistant Brass (Alloy CZ 132) or Gunmetal. To explain the meaning of dezincification, we are enclosing a leaflet on the same as it is necessary to use only DZR materials. A) The first fitting are the integral solder ring fittings (TSR)/ YORKSHIRE range. Thse fittings contain enough amount of lead free solder in a recess/cavity of the cavity itself and there is no need to end feed any solder from outside. On being heated with an ordinary blow lamp, the solder in these fittings melts and flows into both sides, due to capacity action, forming a joint in the area of contact between the pipe and fitting. These fittings have a burst pressure of 5000 psi. A 15mm X 0.7mm Copper pipe will burst at its burst pressure of 3480 psi but a solder ring joint will not leak. B) The second fittings are the ENDEX range of fittings where solder has to be endfed from outside. After heating the fitting, solder wire is endfed from the edge of the fitting enabling capillary action to take place. Most builders in Mumbai are now using Copper for plumbing including K. Raheja, Hiranandani, Mittal, Kalpataru, Lokhandwala, Conwood, amongst others. In Delhi both Ansals and DLF use Copper for plumbing.
